There are two bus stops in Vejer. La Barca de Vejer is a kilometre and a half from Vejer on the N-340 from Málaga to Cádiz. To reach Vejer town you can take a taxi which costs about 6 euros. The other bus stop is in town, next to the Los Remedios park. Always check which bus-stop your bus is going to.

Prado de San Sebastián Bus Station: 954 41 71 11
Buses from Seville to Vejer leave from the bus-station of El Prado de San Sebastián and go to La Barca de Vejer.
Buses leave daily at 09.00, 15.00, 17.30 and 20.30. From Mondays to Saturdays the 17.30 bus also stops at Los Remedios in the town centre. The journey takes about two and a half hours and costs approximately 11 euros.
Málaga Bus Station: 952 34 17 38
There are three direct buses to La Barca de Vejer (07.30, 11.30 and 15.30). At La Barca you will need to take a taxi to the town.
Another possibility is to take two buses: Málaga-Algeciras-Vejer. There are buses every hour or so from Málaga to Algeciras and from Algeciras to La Barca de Vejer at 07.00, 10.30, 11.30, 13.30, 18.30 and 20.30. There are two bus companies on the Málaga - Algeciras route: Comes and Portillo.
- If you take a Comes bus from Málaga, you can take another Comes bus from the same bus-station in Algeciras to La Barca.
- If you take a Portillo bus from Málaga you will have to change bus stations in Algeciras and take a Comes bus to La Barca.
The direct bus from Málaga to La Barca takes about four hours (depending on the traffic.)
Jerez Bus Station: 956 34 52 07
Buses for Vejer leave from the central bus-station in Jerez. From Monday to Friday there is a bus at 18.45 which goes to the bus-stop in Los Remedios. There are three buses every day to La Barca de Vejer leaving at 08.30, 16.30 and 21.15.
Another possibility is to travel via Cádiz. There are buses from Jerez to Cádiz approximately every hour. The direct journey from Vejer to La Barca takes a little more than an hour and costs 5 euros.
Cádiz Bus Station: 956 21 17 63
There are buses from Cádiz to Vejer almost every two hours between seven in the morning and seven at night. They leave from the Comes bus-station in Cádiz and arrive at the bus-stop in Los Remedios. The journey takes about an hour (depending on the route) and costs approximately 5 euros.
San Bernardo Bus Station: 956 65 34 56
There are buses from the Comes bus-station in Algeciras to La Barca de Vejer at 07.00, 10.30, 11.30, 13.30, 18.30 and 20.30. The journey lasts about an hour and a quarter and costs about 6 euros.
Estación de Autobuses del Sur: 913 03 22 66
Buses for Cádiz leave from the Estación del Sur bus-station in Madrid. (Compañía Secorbus). Tickets cost about 20 euros. Once you reach Cádiz, you need to go to the central bus station to catch a bus to Vejer. The journey from Madrid to Cádiz takes about eight hours. There are five buses a day leaving at 09.00, 15.00, 16.00, 22.00 and 23.59.
