How to get to Cadiz

The nearest airport is just outside the city of Jerez, 50 kilometres from Cadiz. It is expanding fast and there are more and more international flights as well as daily flights to Madrid and Barcelona.

By Train

The railway station (RENFE) is just off the Plaza de Sevilla, next to the bus station.

There is a good local train service from/to San Fernando, El Puerto de Santa María and Jerez.

By Bus

The main bus company is Comes which has frequent buses to different parts of the province. There is also a bus to Madrid which takes 8 hours.

Local Buses
There is a good urban bus service in Cadiz which will take you to all parts of the city and to all the beaches. Bus nº1 stops on the main avenue, two minutes from Clic. Buses nº2 and nº3 stop opposite the school. The price of one journey is 1€ and a ten journey ticket (bonobús) can be bought for 6.35 €

By Car

There are two routes in and out of Cadiz by car, the Carranza Bridge and the dual carriageway to San Fernando.

If you take the Puente Carranza, you can reach Seville via the AP-4 motorway (the toll is around 6 €) or the N-IV road.

To follow the coast of the Cadiz province or reach Gibraltar or the Costa del Sol, leave Cadiz via the CA33 to San Fernando where you can go down the coast to Tarifa and Algeciras or take the road to Medina Sidonia where you will find the Jerez-Barrios motorway that will take you to Algeciras in 45 minutes. From there, you can get to Gibraltar or on to the Costa Del Sol.
