Museke means smile in Kinyarwanda, the oficial language of Rwanda. Over a year ago, clic and all of its staff is deeply involved in helping the asociation Museke. It is an organisation which is in contact with the population of the regions of Rwanda and Burundi. The founders of Museke decided to combine forces and provide the energy and enthusiasm necessary to help orphaned children with the objective of providing them with food and an occupation. Their situation is of extreme need- many of them were made orphans by the terrible ethnic wars between the hutus and tutsis during the nineties and bought about the death of around 800,000 people.

clic colaborates with Museke by organising regular charity events in the patio of clic; music concerts, auctions, etc. Our latest event helped to raise 3000 euros which has gone towards the construction of three pig enclosures for the breeding of pigs. These animals will then be given in pairs to different families throughout Burundi so that they may reproduce and eventually provide families with their own pig farms. The original pair will then be handed back to Museke so that they may then be given to another family.

CLIC COLABORA CON MUSEKE PARA AYUDAR NIÑOS HUÉRFANOS EN ÁFRICA
MUSEKE quiere decir “sonríe” en Kinyarwanda; el idioma oficial de Ruanda. Desde hace ya más de un año, clic y todo su personal ha decidido volcarse en la ayuda a la asociación  MUSEKE, En contacto con la población de la región (Ruanda y Burundi)y, sobre todo, al ver la situación de extrema necesidad de los niños, muchos de ellos huérfanos de la terrible guerra étnica entre hutus y tutsis en la década de los 90, en la que murieron alrededor de 800.000 personas, los fundadores de MUSEKE decidieron aunar fuerzas y aportar esfuerzo y entusiasmo en ayudar a niños huérfanos, con el objetivo principal de proveerles de alimentos y una profesión. Nuestra modesta ayuda consiste en organizar eventos solidarios con regularidad en el patio de clic ; concierto de música, etc.
Nuestra última recaudación fue de 3000 euros que han servido para la Construcción de Porquerizas y Entrega de Cerdos: se han construido tres porquerizas para la cría de cerdos. Estos animales serán entregados en parejas a diferentes familias de Burundi, para que críen, y así estas familias puedan desarrollar su propia granja de cerdos, devolviendo los dos progenitores a MUSEKE para que puedan ser cedidos a otra familia.

Combined Spanish and surf course
Some of the many beaches of Cadiz offer excellent conditions for surfers and clic international house Cádiz offers its students the chance to combine Spanish classes and surfing lessons in 2012. Students will receive 20 general spanish intensive classes per week plus two surf lessons of 90 mins per week. Surf’s up!

Nativity scenes, turrón and chestnuts…

Christmas is coming up and with it a great variety of things to do in Seville. In the Plaza de San Francisco there are many stands trimmed with Christmas decorations where we can buy all kinds of ornaments and figurines for decorating our houses. And in the Plaza Nueva there is a craft market with many handmade pieces for giving as presents to our family and friends.
In all of the churches there are nativity scenes that can be visited and it is very pleasant to do so with the Christmas lights in the streets. You can also buy paper cones filled with freshly roasted chestnuts from tiny stands throughout the city streets. There are also turrón (a kind of Spanish nougat), mantecados (similar to shortbread) and a plethora of sweets; Christmas time is filled with treats.
There are many evenings where you can hear children enthusiastically singing Christmas Carols in the plazas, eagerly anticipating the evening of the 5th of January where the Three Wise Men turn up in the traditional procession through the city. Don’t forget to write your letter!

NAVIDAD EN SEVILLA

BELENES, TURRÓN Y CASTAÑAS…
Se acerca la Navidad y con ella una gran variedad de cosas que hacer en Sevilla. En la Plaza de San Francisco hay muchos puestos con decoración navideña donde podemos comprar todo tipo de figuritas y adornos para decorar nuestras casas. Y en la Plaza Nueva hay un mercado de artesanía con muchísimos objetos hechos a mano perfectos para regalar a nuestros amigos.
En todas las iglesias hay belenes que se pueden visitar y es muy agradable hacerlo cuando ya están las luces navideñas encendidas en las calles; y además puedes comprar un cartuchito de castañas asadas en los puestos que hay por el centro de la ciudad. Y turrones, y mantecados; la Navidad está llena de dulces.
Y hay muchas tardes en las que puedes escuchar a los niños cantar villancicos en las plazas… Niños a los que verás con los ojos llenos de emoción la tarde del 5 de enero esperando ver pasar a los Reyes Magos en su tradicional Cabalgata. ¡No olvides escribir tu carta!

clic invites students to spend a day in this enchanting city

If students undertake a course with us at clic ih Sevilla before the 28th of  February 2012, they will receive a free day excursion to Cadiz. This city is also known as the tacita de plata (silver teacup) because from an aerial view it is shaped like one and the Andalucian sun is so bright that the land shimmers as though it were made of silver. It is a city located along the coast, full of enchantment and beaches that amaze with the colour of its sands and dunes. Cadiz has over 2000 years of history and in 2012 will celebrate 200 years of having a Constitution. It will also be the Hispano-American cultural capital.  The city is also very close to Sevilla, only a 1 hour drive along the highway.

¡Japón, más que nunca en el corazón!
Del 11 al 16 de abril, clic organizará una semana cultural de Japón destinada a recaudar fondos tras el desastre  del pasado del 11 de marzo.

Alguna vez pensó que le gustaría aprender a hacer Sushi, o quizás le gustaría saber decorar con origami?  Quiere aprender a presentar sus regalos con embalaje originales hechos a base de tela o papel?

La semana cultural y solidaria de Japón le permitirá aprender a hacer todo esto pero también habrá talleres sobre curiosidades propias de los japoneses como los saludos, las tradiciones del té, la celebración del Hanami… Hasta tendrá ocasión de ver una comedia japonesa hilarante que tiene por título, the waterboys.

La participación a estos talleres será simbólicamente de 3 euros y el dinero recaudado irá directamente a la Cruz Roja japonesa.

Los próximos  días 3 y 4 de junio tendrán lugar  las XI jornadas de profesores de español como lengua extranjera.

Este evento, organizado por clic, patrocinado por la editorial Difusión y  auspiciado  por la Universidad de Sevilla, una vez más permitirá a un gran número de profesores de español encontrarse con sus compañeros de profesión e intercambiar impresiones y experiencias sobre el mundo de la enseñanza  de nuestro idioma.

El aprendizaje informal, la escritura en red o el uso de la redes sociales, serán algunos de los temas de estas jornadas orquestadas por profesionales de referencias del sector, como Ernesto Martín Peris y Daniel Cassany siempre bajo el lema Aprendizaje más allá del aula.
